Alice Margaret Murray
October 29, 1947 - June 2, 2026
It is with tremendous sadness we share that Alice Margaret Murray (Clark), at 78 years young, passed away peacefully at Juravinski Hospital, with Sinatra in the background, and surrounded by her family on Tuesday June 2, 2026.
Beloved wife of Robert Murray. Dear mother of Scott and Heather (Kevin). Loving grandma of Ruby and Angus, and loved Sister of the late Elaine (Ken) Parnell, Aunt to Cheryl, Janice, Alison, Karen, Greg and families. She will be missed by her many friends and neighbours.
Alice was born in Hagersville on Oct 29, 1947. After farm living and school, Alice began a long and incredibly well-suited career as a nurse at Haldimand West General Hospital. Her instinct to care for and help people combined with her unwavering work ethic and lust for life fueled this 46-year devotion.
An avid and fierce competitor, Alice curled with the lady’s league throughout the winter months while the summers kept her on the golf course. Somehow, she still managed to find time to dominate the Caledonia Fair baking contest year after year. Her adventurous spirit paved the way for travel to many places. One of her and Bob’s favourite places to visit was Whistler, BC, where she got to see her pride and joy, her grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Dr. Shariff and the Juravinski Hospital nurses for their exemplary, Alice approved care.
Please raise a toast to an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, teammate, and neighbour.
Friends may call at the Hyde & Mott Funeral Chapel, Hagersville, on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 5-8 pm.
Funeral Service at Hyde & Mott Chapel, Hagersville on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 11 am with interment at the Gore Cemetery. Reception to follow at Royal Canadian Legion, Br.154, 29 Caithness St. E., 1st Floor, Caledonia.
Memorial donations can be made to Pancreatic Cancer Canada.

I was so saddened to hear of Alice’s passing. I spent many years curling with her at Glanford. We would often have a pre game chat while waiting to get on the ice. She would tell me stories about Ruby and Angus. She was so proud of them. I will miss her very much. My condolences to the family.

Growing up, there was a pathway worn through the field connecting our backyard to the Murrays' house on Unity Road. My sisters and I would travel over there, or Scott and Heather would come to our place. The thing I will always remember about Alice is that she was game for anything fun, and she did it all with a twinkle in her eye and just the right amount of lipstick! She had a true zest for life, setting a wonderful example for all of us. Sincere condolences to Bob, Scott, Heather and families.
