Giovanni Ugo (John) De Luca
Born in Osigo, de Fregon Treviso Italy, on April 1st, 1941. Died in Hagersville on August 10, 2017. John passed away at home with his wife of 56 years, Clara (nee: Veri) at his side. Father of Nina De Luca (Shawn McFadden) of Toronto, and Jim De Luca (Melissa) of Port Dover. Grandfather of Maggie Garratt (Ash Palmer) of Toronto, ,Giovanni De Luca of Port Dover and Alexander and Nathan McFadden of Toronto. Son of Alice De Luca of Italy and Giacomo De Luca deceased W.W.2.. Brother of Carmen Portello and her husband Ron Overton, and Dorella Portello all of Italy. Predeceased by his step-father Gianni Portello. John requested that donations be sent to Juravinski Cancer Centre. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday August 13 from 2-4 pm at the Hyde and Mott Chapel of R.H.B. My sincere condolences to Clara and the family. Words cannot express how sad my heart feels at this moment. John was a wonderful neighbour to have had all the years I lived across the street. John will be sadly missed by all his neighbours on Wardell Crescent past and present.

We are saddened to hear of John's passing. I enjoyed spending time with him shooting at the club and we were always happy to see his smiling face at the store. He will be missed.
