Jacob Daniel Berry

It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of our son Jacob Daniel Berry on June 21 2021. He is survived by his parents Lezley Berry and Stephen Berry. His brother Ryan (Holly) and sister Danielle. His fiancée Rachel McDougall and her family and friends. His grandparents Jerry and Sue Mehlenbacher and Mary and Micheal Winny and Deborah Berry. Also his many aunts and uncles and cousins. He will be missed by his closest friends Jesse,Braden, Robert and Brock.
Jacob was an amazing person. He was loved by all that knew him and he was always quick to lend a hand. He loved the outdoors, going camping with his family and friends and he had a love of animals. He spent many years in scouts starting off as a beaver going straight through to becoming a scout with Jesse. We are all very proud of his accomplishments in his short time here. We will love you always.
There will be a private visitation for family and close friends only. A celebration of life will be held at the family farm 140 Concesion 14 Walpole, Hagersville on Saturday July 10, 2021 from 2 to 4 p.m.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made in Jacob’s name to the Adult Mental Health Services of Haldimand Norfolk. Arrangements by Hyde & Mott Chapel, Hagersville. www.rhbanderson.com

I was so sorry to hear about Jacob. I was his kindergarten teacher and he was always friendly and helpful. Years later, I ran into him in town and his personality had not changed! Such fond memories of him and watching him grow up into a young adult. My condolences to Lesley and Stephen as well as Ryan and Danielle and all of his extended family. Fly high young man! You will always be remembered!❤️

I was in school with Ryan from Kindergarten at Walpole. Jacob was a bit older and in class with my brother, Kris Smith, right from Kindergarten as well. He was always such a great friend to my brother, even when other people weren’t so much. I’ve never heard anyone say a bad word about Jacob, and I can understand why. Very sweet soul. My brother is feeling the loss of him tremendously, hopefully in time he will focus more on the privilege of having known Jacob than the loss of him - I hope this for the family as well.

Take your time, and take care of each other.
All my love.

Words are not enough to express our deep sorrow that your family is experiencing at this time. He was loved by family and friends. I will always remember Jacob introducing himself when he was little as "Jacob Daniel Berry" whenever asked his name.
His smile looks so genuine and his heart true. Please hold all your memories close to your own hearts, you are in our thoughts.

Jacob may have started as my brothers friend, but over the years he became a family friend. Even once Robert had moved out Jacob would still come over and hang out with either me or my parents. He was an incredibly kind soul, and was always there do help if you needed it. It is with great sadness that we have to say goodbye so soon. My thoughts and prayers go out to his entire family, and close friends.

My heart breaks for you all. Jacob was a man with such a good heart and soul. And strong as an ox! We still talk about the time we were camping together and we needed a picnic table. While my boys were just getting up to look for one, there came Jacob with a picnic table in the air, he was carrying it with one arm!
Please accept our deepest condolences and know you’re in our thoughts. Cherish the beautiful memories. George, Annemarie, Tyler, Jack, Adam, Rachel & Samantha

Jacob you are still with us all every day. I still feel your smile and your happy vibes that came with your presence. Remember when I would babysit you while your Mother worked at Waterbrook Farm Camp. The pair of us would run around terrorizing the place doing whatever it is our little hearts desired. But that all came to a halt when you broke your leg on the trampoline. Now if you a picture a 4 year old boy with a full leg cast you would the think of a giant frown on his face :( But not Jacob he got use to wearing it and it took no time before he was running laughing and big smile back on his face. So for all you people that got to witness years ago when Jacob had his cast on and the funny way he would swing it around all casted up and straight legged out just so he could walk run and still managed to play... I know we all have our own special moments with Jacob. I know him breaking his leg isn't a great memory to have of him. Its the way he handled it at such a young age so well that I will never forget. Even me being his older Uncle many times I had gone to Jacob for help and never not once did he ever decline helping me. Jacob we all love you and miss you every day it you have given us all something to remember and help us grow in life . Thank you from all of us Jacob.
