Peacefully surrounded by family at the Brantford General Hospital on Wednesday June 15, 2022 at the age of 64 years. Loving daughter of the late John & Janet Turkey, and Albert Haviland. Wife of the late Sam DeCaire. Dearest mother of Tanya (Ben), and Peggy. Cherished nana to Kelly, Jason, Corey, and Gary. Sister of Mary (Steve), Bertha (Dave), Peggy (Allen), David (Sherry), John (Carol), Darryl (Karen), and Daniel. Special friend of Eric Spurgeon. Also will be missed by adopted daughter Mags Abel, and many nieces and nephews. The family will honour her life with visitation at Styres Funeral Home, 1798 4th Line, Ohsweken on Thursday June 23, 2022 from 2-5 pm. Cremation to follow. www.rhbanderson.com

Sincere condolences to Tanya and Peggy and families. Betty was a participant of our Six Nations Health Research Alliance Study and the covid study. She was always pleasant and talkative.
