Peacefully at the Stedman Community Hospice on Tuesday May 30, 2023 surrounded by love - Peter Maurice Leonard left his earthly home. Peter was the beloved husband of the late Linda (Nolan - 2022). Cherished father and best friend to Jeff, and Paul (Jessica). He was a treasured grandpa to Shandi, Shavannah, Kattera, and Matthew. A great-great grandpa to Rayleigh. He will be missed by all. Survived by his sister Paula (John), niece Terri (Chris) and their families. Predeceased by his parents Maurice & Monica, sisters Joanie, Yvonne, and Marie. Lovingly remembered by Bonnie (Dan deceased), Lana (Ken deceased), Diane (Barry), Donna (David), and the late Nancy & Brian Nolan. Also remembered by many nieces & nephews, and a great circle of friends - Karl & Jacqueline Cavanagh, John & Violet, Betty (Neil deceased), Jim & Ann, Johnny Williamson, Ed & Gail, WendyHibbard, Jay & Yvonne, and Lynne Garn. Peter was a dedicated employee of Dofasco for over 40 years. In his retirement he enjoyed part-time employment with Simington Motors. Many thanks to the staff at Stedman Hospice, Dr. Healey, Dr. Montour, Catherine Montague from Catholic Women’s League and friends and neighbours for their support. Funeral Service to be held at St. Marys Church, Hagersville on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Hagersville Cemetery. Dear Jeff, Paul and families. We are so saddened to hear of Pete’s passing. He was truly one of the best and will be greatly missed. Lots of fond memories of “Survey” get togethers. Thoughts and prayers to you all.
