James Elgin "Jim" Nie
November 21, 1945 - March 30, 2024

 

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Hamilton General Hospital on Saturday March 30, 2024 at the age of 78 years. Beloved husband of 54 years to Carolyn. Loving father of Karen & Greg Bacher, Darren & Dana Elton-Nie. Dear Papa/Grandpa of Emma, Brianna, Rachael, Cole, Nathan and Carson. Son of the late Claude & Ulea Nie. Brother of Dorothy & Ken Burchill. Son-In-law of Doris & the late Floyd Held. Brother-In-Law of Deb Held, and Randy & Judy Held. Jim was a well-respected Heavy Equipment Operator for many years.

I’m so sorry for your loss.
Mike always spoke highly of Jim and valued his friendship. I heard many stories when they worked together at Mattice’s.
