Eva Kathleen Buckle (née Lesku)
August 15, 1955 – July 12, 2026
Passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at West Haldimand General Hospital in Hagersville, Ontario, at the age of 70.
Loving mother of Jason Gubbins and Adam Gubbins. Cherished grandmother of Jaxon, Sonja, and Violet.
Eva had a creative eye and a gift for decorating, always making every space feel warm and welcoming. She generously gave her time as a volunteer at Westfield Heritage Village and was proud to support her community through her involvement with the Lions Club. She had a deep love of music, especially Keith Urban, and loved cats and dogs. Every animal that wandered into her yard was sure to be given a name.
Eva will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and caring nature. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A Memorial Gathering to celebrate Eva’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Hyde & Mott Chapel, R.H.B. Anderson Funeral Homes Ltd., 60 Main Street South, Hagersville, Ontario. www.rhbanderson.com
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honour Eva’s memory may consider supporting a local animal rescue or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
Condolences

I miss Eva. We worked together at RBC in Hamilton are for many years. We found ourselves living in Hagersville in 2011. Small world. She was a joy to hang out with. My deepest sympathy to her family.

My wife and I had the pleasure of knowing Eva through our Game Day at the Hagersville Lawn Bowling Club. She was one classy lady with a quick wit that we all enjoyed while in her company. A caring lady with a heart of gold. Rest in peace Eva.
