LEWIS: RYAN

A kind and adventurous soul, Ryan has joined his dad, Larry and sister Mary after a courageous and short fight with cancer on Saturday December 13, 2014 at the age of 34 years. Beloved and cherished fiancé of Jennifer Doherty. Devoted daddy of Maya. Loving son of Linda Lewis. Dear brother of Brad and Melanie. Special uncle of Levi and Taylor. Ryan will also be sadly missed by in-laws Lori and Brian Doherty; brother-in-law Matthew and his aunts, uncles and cousins. Ryan was an avid lacrosse, hockey player, referee and linesman, and in October on what was to be his last hockey game he donned his Detroit Red Wings Jersey and he and Jen drove to Buffalo to watch his team outplay the Buffalo Sabres!! Ryan was most recently a linesman of another sort for Hydro One, a job than encouraged his love of heights, the outdoors and helping others. The family will honour his life with visitation at the Hyde & Mott Chapel, R.H.B. Anderson Funeral Homes Ltd., 60 Main Street South, Hagersville on Thursday from 4-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Friday December 19, 2014 at 11 a.m. with cremation to follow. Interment of cremated remains will be held at the Ohsweken Baptist Church in the family plot at a later date.

Ryan has now attained those lofty heights. May he rest well.

Lewis was a strong determined man that was a great friend to all he came to know. He would drop anything to help if you asked. He was always laughing, joking and having a good time. We will always remember him quoting The Hangover.. Over and over and over again.. Then of course The Hangover 2.. May the memories of him bring you many smiles and much laughter. Our world down here has lost a great man, however he has gained some wings so he can soar to new heights. We will remember him always xo

I'm Spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this Year

I see the countless Christmas trees,
Around the world below.
With tiny lights, like heaven's stars,
Reflecting on the snow.

The sight is so spectacular,
Please wipe away that tear.
For I'm spending Christmas,
With Jesus Christ this year.

I hear the many Christmas songs,
That people hold so dear.
But the sounds of music can't compare,
With the Christmas choir up here.

For I have no words to tell you,
The joy their voices bring.
For it is beyond description,
To hear the angels sing.

I can't tell you of the splendor,
Or the peace here in this place.
Can you just imagine Christmas,
With our Savior, face to face?

I'll ask Him to light your spirit,
As I tell Him of your love.
So then pray one for another,
As I lift you eyes above.

Please let your hearts be joyful,
And let your spirit sing.
For I'm Spending Christmas in Heaven,
And I'm walking with the King.
