Ruth Snodgrass
(November 30, 1949-January 10, 2021)

The world has lost one of the greatest huggers of all time. On January 10th, 2021, Ruth Snodgrass (nee Clayton) went to be with our Lord and Saviour.  We assume it is because heaven needed a really good hugger.

She is missed by many but especially missed by her spouse David Snodgrass. She is also missed by her son William Snodgrass, his wife Tanya and their children Madison and Samuel.  She is also missed by her daughter Faith Hakkarainen, her spouse John and their children Hope, Santino and Frank.  She will also be missed by her many sisters and brothers and their children, and by all of those who called her mom.

All those that knew Ruth knew that she was passionate about Christ, her family, horses and motorcycles.

We would like to thank everyone for their love, prayers and support.  Ruth’s remains were cremated and then interned on National Hugging Day.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date, when we can all Celebrate together.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Caledonia Baptist Church or to your local church.

Arrangements by Styres Funeral Home, Ohsweken.

Mom
I will never forget how you took me in and put up with another teenager in your home. You and Dave are not only generous and loving. You both are unrelenting in you kindness and care.
I learned so much from you, you gave me so much and I’m so sorry I couldn’t be there for you, as you where always there for me. 30 yrs and I know you will continue to be .
You leave behind an amazing husband and father. Two children who have your gift for love and compassion.
It is my honour to have had you in my life...I’ll miss out video chats.
Love you Mom, till we meet again

Dear Dave, Will and your families. I'm so sorry to hear about Ruth. I know she will be missed by many. Chris and I fondly remember our rides and meets together with our biker brothers and sisters! You are all in our thoughts and prayers. One day at a time and lean on God. He will hold you.
Sonia and Chris.

So sorry to hear of Ruth’s passing. Got to know Ruth when we worked together at Norcliffe. She was a great hugger and she made my early days at Norcliffe at lot easier. Her kindness and patience with me really encouraged me to stay. She often spoke about her family and how proud she was of all of them. She will be missed.

Please accept my condolences. I was shocked and saddened to hear of Ruth’s passing. Ruth was my welcome wagon when I joined the Norcliffe 2nd floor crew way back in 1998. She was such a sweetheart that always made you feel like you belonged. I can still remember her laugh. She went too soon but Heaven gained one of the best.
