Ralph Edgar Passmore passed away peacefully July 22, 2016 at McNally House Hospice Grimsby in his 73rd year.  He was cherished by wife Gwendolyn (Stirling) Passmore and children and grandchildren Bill & Brenda Lofthouse (Nathan, Kristen & Aaron), Cheryl & Allan Judson (Brendan & Ashley), Jeff & Jennifer Passmore (Jessica & Jacob) and Julie & Andrew Hodgins (Courtney McIntee, McKenna Hodgins & Jaden Hodgins).  Ralph is survived by sisters Marie Richard, Louise Fawcett, Shirley & Tom Thompson, brothers William Passmore Sr. (Mary Wilson), Bob & Marcia Passmore. He will be missed by sisters in law and brothers in law May Passmore, Jackie Passmore, Ken & Nancy Stirling, Marilyn & Eric Pereira, Lois Stirling, Donna & Daryl Cavers, Barb & John Robinson and Ron & Irene Stirling. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.  Ralph was predeceased by grandson Jordan McIntee, his parents Edgar & Belinda (Ecker) Passmore and stepfather George Terry. He was also predeceased by sisters Florence, Mildred, Dorothy, Laura, Annie, Ilean, Gladys and brothers Douglas, Lloyd, George, Wm. Richard, Lewis, Fred, Dick and Samuel.

Ralph owned his own construction business and was an active volunteer firefighter of Haldimand Station 6 Canboro for over forty years.  He also enjoyed bowling with the Men’s Rural Bowling League in Dunnville.  

The family will honour his life with visitation at the Canboro Community Centre, 7 Darling St., Canboro on Monday 7-9 pm. and on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm.  Funeral Service will be held at Bethany United Church, 180 Carter Rd., Dunnville on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 1 pm.  Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Dunnville.  As an expression of sympathy, donations to McNally House, 148 Central Avenue, Grimsby, ON L3M, 4Z3, Dave Dunham Breakaway Fund, c/o 113 Lock St. East, Dunnville  N1A 1J6 or charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.

Bill Sr. & Mary, Donna and Daryl, Bill and Brenda, and families, my deepest sympathies to all of you after the passing of Ralph. May you find peace and comfort during this most difficult time on your loving memories of him.
