Nancy Laurene ("Dudah") General

November 6, 1944 - March 19, 2020

Surrounded by her children and grandchildren at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hamilton, continues her journey to the spirit world after a courageous battle.

Predeceased by her father, Oliver General, and her mother, Grace (Williams) General, and sisters Eva Harris and Doris Green.  Nancy will be greatly missed by daughters Laurene and Lisa Belliveau, son Craig (Jennifer) Belliveau, extended family, Leslie (Dennis Lehoux) Belliveau and Greg Belliveau, grandchildren Hunter, Avery and Lilah Belliveau, sisters Myrna Powless of New York State, Vivan General of Orillia, Judy (Manford decd.) Miller of Ohsweken, brothers Sam (Rose) General of Ohsweken, Kevin (Marlys Rambeau) General of Ohio and Keith General of Ohsweken.  She will also be greatly missed by her many nieces and nephews and numerous cousins, friends and colleagues,  including her bestie Deedee Green.

Nancy was a strong and fearless mother, grandmother, auntie, sister and friend.  She loved visiting with her grandchildren, going to Bingo, Rama casino trips, and watching her favourite crime dramas, soap operas and DIYs.  Everyone who met Nancy was shocked by her tenacity, including her doctors upon learning of her insistence to continue work at Arrow Express while undergoing dialysis. She was never afraid to speak her mind and to offer her wisdom and advice.   Nancy will forever hold an unfillable place in the hearts of all of her family and friends.

Nancy will be brought home to rest at 10 Stoneridge Circle, Ohsweken, followed by a one-day wake beginning at 5pm on March 20th.  A service and burial will be held at Sour Springs Longhouse at 11a.m. on March 21, 2020.  If desired, donations can be made to the Six Nations Dialysis Unit in lieu of flowers.

Condolences
