Muriel “Min” Martin
April 6, 1936 – January 15, 2026

Muriel “Min” Martin (nee Hill), has started her journey to the Sky world.
Guiding her on her spiritual journey is her husband Eldred Glenn “EG” Martin, her daughters Yvonne  (Jim), and Gail “Missy” (Mike) and granddaughters April and Jodie-Lynn.
Min loved to travel, when she was 16 years old she wrote  a letter for the opportunity to attend the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in London England. Among other indigenous girls who wrote in, her letter was chosen and she would go on to represent all Onkwehon:we people of Canada. The young women would become known as the Weston girls. On the train towards her first adventure, Min met her best friend Mary Goodhill (nee Jackson) and they would stay lifelong friends. The Weston Girls reunited for the 50th anniversary of their trip to London and thereafter would reunite every two years. In December 2023 the Weston Girls journeyed back to London England to have tea with King Charles III, where they filmed the documentary Cornation Girls which aired on BBC and PPS and is now on YouTube. On April 2, 2025, King Charles III granted Min the Coronation Medal in commemoration of his Coronation.
At the young age of 15, Min found her forever love and best friend EG and they began their life adventure together. Min and EG adventured around North America, bowling, fishing and horseracing. She was an avid bowler at Starlanes and traveled to enter various bowling tournaments. She loved catching the biggest fish up in Marten River and Red Cedar Lake where she spent a lot of time with family. She also loved watching the Buffalo Bills.
She was a very hard-working woman who loved her husband and family deeply, she will be truly missed by each and every person whom was lucky enough to be a part of her life.
Min is the last remaining member of her Hill family. Min reunites with her parents Elmer and Mabel Hill, siblings Morgan, Kay (Mel), Marion (Stan), Florence (Joe), Leigh (Ted), Luella (Vince), and Eldon “Snip” (Anita),
Predeceased by her in laws: Teddy and Amy Martin, Ron, Mike, Larry and Reva. Survived by in-laws Roland “Pug” and Cecil.
Survived by her children Wendell, Jay (Nicole), Shawn (Pamela), Barry (Diana), Jody (Kelly), Tracey (Steve “Lucky”) and Jason. Muriel was honoured with 25 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Hello,

Condolences to All. I never had the chance to meet your mom, grandmother, great grandmother, and wow, great- great grandmother, but I have gotten to know some of her family through school and/or neighbors, even community. From this, they come from a beautiful family who I'm sure will be missed.

Someone once told me, we do not know how long we are here...everything is A Lesson, what ever or where ever our Path leads us We Learn, We Grow, and We Keep moving Forward because Time Is Constantly Moving Forward.

By the sounds of this Great Woman's Life...She Lived, Loved Life, and Kept Moving Forward...Now Into The Next Part of Her Journey.

A Strong-Hearted Person told me, 'She had a good run.'

Sacred Prayers and Much Healing To Honor Her Life.
