With the saddest of hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Edward Lines on August 5, 2022 in his 84th yr. Michael passed away peacefully at home in the presence of his wife of 61 yrs. and best friend, Claudette Kaye Lines. Son of the late Albert and Muriel Lines. Father of Patricia Best Freeman (Peter Freeman), Michelle Lines (Nathan Ruegg). Grandfather of Krista Best (Corey Jaques), Nicole Freeman, Mikaela McCready, Sebastian McCready. Great grandfather of Sahara, Kristian and Dylan. Uncle to many. Predeceased by his brothers Howard Lines (Shirley) and Donald Lines (Norma). Brother-in-law of Bonnie White (late Reginald White), Gary Reichheld, and the late Brent Anderson. Michael was passionate about all things equestrian, music, cooking, and floral design. He was proud of his many roles he fulfilled as a member of the Caledonia Legion, Branch 154, as a past President, Secretary, Treasurer and District Zone Commander. Michael was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for his dedication and commitment. Funeral arrangements have been made for Wednesday August 10, 2022 at Hyde & Mott Funeral Home, 60 Main St. Hagersville. Visitation at 12 p.m. and service at 1 p.m. There will be a light luncheon to follow at the Waterford Legion, Branch 123. There will be no interment. www.rhbanderson.com
