After a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family, Melvin passed on Friday, August 14, 2015 at the age of 59. Dear husband of Darlene (Jonathan). Loving father of Jillian, Jolene (Dan) & Jonathan (Shantel). Cherished Popa of Rayonna, Tyson, Derek, Laiken, Jayden, Keilyn & Adelyn. His parents Billie & Herman Styres, brother of Carla (Wayne), Candy, Carole (Rudy), Toni (C.W.)& Mark (Judy). Brother-in-law of Gordon Powless, Carolyn (Harold), Beverly (Edward), Theresa, Annie, Valerie (Walter), Patricia (Dave), Roger, Stanley (Cathy), Keith (Shelley), Pixie (Ollie), Lorelie (Gary) and Yvonne. Predeceased by his granddaughter Kionna Lily and brothers and sister -in-law Marlene, Ken, and Christopher. Family and friends will be received at the home of Melvin and Darlene at 1873 Chiefswood Rd., Ohsweken after 7:30 pm Friday where Funeral Service will be held on Sunday ,August 16, 2015 at 2 p.m. Evening prayers Saturday August 15, 2015 at 7 p.m. Cremation to follow.
