Mary Louise Lane
December 24, 1954 - July 6, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Louise Lane (Nee Podgurski) in her 71st year after a valiant fight. A devoted mother, partner, sister, and nana, as well as a life long friend to many. She will be dearly missed by husband David and twin sister Martha (Lou), cherished daughters Jennifer (Rick), Michelle (David), and Jenni-Anne and Adam. Her greatest joy and continual source of pride and boasting are her grandchildren Lily and Andrew. Just the mention of them always brought a smile to her face. She will also be missed by a small but mighty band of nieces and nephews. Mary was parish secretary at ST. Mary’s Church in Hagersville for 30 years carrying on many functions in parish life. She was a long serving member of the CWL as well as volunteering with many local charities and groups. An avid gardener, and cook, though not all that proficient in the art of potato salad. She loved her jigsaw puzzles and diamond art. Her compassion and caring for others and her love of family will truly be missed. In lieu of flowers donations in Mary’s name cane be made to the Hagersville Food Bank or Juravinski Hospital. Mary’s funeral mass will be at ST. Mary’s on Friday July 11th at 11:00 followed by a reception in the hall. Arrangements by Hyde & Mott Chapel, Hagersville. www.rhbanderson.com

We are so sad to hear the news and our deepest condolences to the family.
Mary was our neighbour and I always enjoyed waving as we would walk, or drive by
When I used to take my kids to the EarlyOn (years ago) we would often see Mary at the church, she loved coming down to say hi to the kids.
My heart goes out to the family, she will be missed on our side of town.

I express my sincere condolences and prayers to Dave and their children and all dear and near ones who came to know and love this remarkable, hard working and lovely woman Mary????
She was my secretary while I was Pastor at St.Ann and Saint Mary’s parish. I took charge of the parish when it was about to be shut down due to several reasons. Mary helped me not only as a secretary but in charge of many fund raising events and youth programs and church functions. Thus we were able to bring life to both churches together with all parishioners.
May her soul Rest in Peace ????

Sorry to gear about Mrs. Lane’s passing. She was such a nice, warm and generous person in the West End and at St. Mary’s for many years. Fond memories of growing up just down the street from the Lane family.
Our condolences on behalf of the King Family.

We have had the great fortune of having Mary and Dave as our neighbours for 9 years now. Mary was such an amazing woman. We will miss watching her and Dave tending to their beautiful gardens. Mary always thought of my children and would bring them toys that her grandchildren had outgrown or crafting supplies that brought them such joy. We miss her greatly. Our condolences to Dave and his family.
