Miss Peart taught my sister and myself at Sunnylea Public School in the 1950's and 60's. She truly deserved the Teacher of the Year Award. Miss Peart lived one block away from us and she would often meet our Mother while shopping in later years. She always enquired after my sister and myself until she sold her house.Miss Peart was inspiration to so many of her students.

Miss Peart taught my brothers and I in the 1970's. She was a great disciplinarian who used psychology and our childhood imaginations to keep us in line. She taught me the value of self-discipline, self-control and accountability. She was also a dedicated member of Royal York United Church, where many of our class mates attended both church school and Cub Scouts. Many students at Sunnylea Public School were unknowlingly blessed to have their foundational education influenced by experienced professionals such as Mrs. Stone, Mrs. McLean and Miss. Peart.
