Peacefully at Norview Lodge, Simcoe on Saturday January 13, 2018 in her 87th year. Wife of the late Rhys Drehmer. Loving mother of Don & the late Doreen, Doug & Linda, and Jeff & Kim. Dear grandma (chicken grandma) of Brad & Jina, Leanne & Harsit, Jake & Jessie, and Lacey & Nick. Dear great grandma of Cameron and Reuben. Step-grandmother of Daphne, and Yvonne. Sister of the late Gordon & June Matthews, the late Jean & Jim Compeau, Harold (deceased) & Rose Matthews, Hazel Hockley, Howard (deceased) & Doreen & the late Betty Matthews. Sister-in-law of Fay (deceased) & Marion Drehmer. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Marie was a member of the Rainham Centre Women’s Institute, Faith Centennial United Church and U.C.W. and was an avid card player. The family will honour her life with visitation at the Hyde & Mott Chapel of R.H.B. Anderson Funeral Homes Ltd., 60 Main Street South, Hagersville on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday January 16, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment White Church Cemetery, Rainham. My deepest sympathy to all. One of my favorite Aunts will miss her so very much fond memories of helping her collect eggs.

Delicious Sunday afternoon dinners at the farm are some of my fondest childhood memories with Aunt Marie. She was strong, determined, kind and always loving. See will be missed. Love Chris and Dave

To this day I can remember the chickens pecking at my heels as we helped pick eggs, Aunt Marie would say that's alright it won't hurt for long. Lots of great memories of the farm and Aunt Marie she will be greatly missed by all of use. Doug and Linda our though are with you.
