At the West Haldimand General Hospital, Hagersville on Sunday, October 29, 2017 in her 87th year. Wife of the late Lorne James. Mother of David (deceased) & Diane James, and Joanne McKeen. Dear grandmother of Davin & Paula McKeen, Stacey & Brent Aitchison, and Julie McKeen & Matt Hunter. Great grandmother of Taylor, Dustin, & Alex, and Bevan & Eddie. Sister of Agnes & Morris (deceased) House, the late William & BettyLou Huffman, and George & Lillian Huffman. Sister-in-law to the late Mary & Russell Hewson, the late Eva & Richard Awde, Laura & Ross (deceased) Hamilton, Ruth & Peter Myke, Alma (deceased) & John Spisak, the late Lois & Ron Speller, and Audrey & Bill (deceased) Nixon. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Madelene was a long time resident of Oneida Township. She was well known for her sewing and crafts. The family will honour her life with visitation at the Hyde & Mott Chapel of R.H.B. Anderson Funeral Homes Ltd., 60 Main St. S., Hagersville on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. where funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 11 am. Interment Gore Cemetery. Saddened to hear of Madelene’s passing. I often think of her at Cornfest with her beautiful crafts— the basket I enjoy will be that much more meaningful. My thoughts are with you all as you say farewell to your beloved mother, grandmother and friend.
