At the West Haldimand General Hospital, Hagersville on Sunday, October 29, 2017 in her 87th year.  Wife of the late Lorne James.  Mother of David (deceased) & Diane James, and Joanne McKeen.  Dear grandmother of Davin & Paula McKeen, Stacey & Brent Aitchison, and Julie McKeen & Matt Hunter.  Great grandmother of Taylor, Dustin, & Alex, and Bevan & Eddie. Sister of Agnes & Morris (deceased) House, the late William & BettyLou Huffman, and George & Lillian Huffman.  Sister-in-law to the late Mary & Russell Hewson, the late Eva & Richard Awde, Laura & Ross (deceased) Hamilton, Ruth & Peter Myke, Alma (deceased) & John Spisak, the late Lois & Ron Speller, and Audrey & Bill (deceased) Nixon.  Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  Madelene was a long time resident of Oneida Township.  She was well known for her sewing and crafts.  The family will honour her life with visitation at the Hyde & Mott Chapel of R.H.B. Anderson Funeral Homes Ltd., 60 Main St. S., Hagersville on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. where funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 11 am.  Interment Gore Cemetery.  As an expression of sympathy, donations to the West Haldimand General Hospital Foundation or the charity of your choice.  www.rhbanderson.com

Sorry to hear of the loss of your mother, grandmother. She was a very lucky lady to have had many good years of being with her family and friends. She will be missed by everyone and our thoughts are with he family.

Saddened to hear of Madelene’s passing. I often think of her at Cornfest with her beautiful crafts— the basket I enjoy will be that much more meaningful. My thoughts are with you all as you say farewell to your beloved mother, grandmother and friend.
