Loving wife and dear mother passed away quietly on Tuesday December 13, 2016. Adored and dedicated partner for Robert, mother to Beth (Steve), Rick, and Step-mom to Taylor and Brady. Liz was the youngest daughter of the late Barbara and Jozef Szpunar and caring sister of Jane, Christine (Gene) and Irene (Rick).  Liz will also be lovingly remembered and missed by a large extended family and circle of friends. Liz was very proud of her Polish heritage, enjoyed travel, yoga, her pets and visiting relatives in Poland and Czech Republic. A service to celebrate Liz’s life will be held at Hyde & Mott Chapel, R.H.B Anderson Funeral Homes Ltd., 60 Main Street South, Hagersville, Ontario on Saturday December 17, 2016 (visitation from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. with 3:30 p.m. service to follow). Reception will follow at Caledonia Presbyterian Church, 117 Argyle Street North, Caledonia. All friends and family are welcome to visit at the family home Saturday evening.  If desired, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Sincere thanks to the frontline staff at West Haldimand General Hospital and our family friend Dan.

God looked around his garden and found an empty space,
Then he looked down upon this earth and saw your tired
face, He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest,
God's garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best.

So sorry i never got the privilege of meeting your wife, you talked nothing but good. My deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family at this difficult time, my condolences.

LOVE
KRYSTAL

Your mom had a beautiful spirit and of the few times I met her she was always able to make me laugh. The memories I have of Liz are sweet and put a smile on my face. I have been reflecting on the stories you shared with us about your mom and they make me smile. She really was an amazing woman. We are thinking of you and your family and are sending our love to all of you. We love you xoxo.

Just to let you know, we are thinking of you and your family at this difficult time. As former neighbours on the 4th Line, I remember Liz bringing in stray cats to keep them safe and warm. When we came to your open Xmas House, she made such a fuss over the homemade cross stitch ornament with a cat on it that I had made for her. You would have thought I had given her a huge gift and she was so pleased that it was homemade and put it right on the tree. A lovely lady!

To the family of Liz Salac.
So sorry for your loss. I enjoyed meeting and getting to know Liz for the short time she was with the Haldimand Choralairs. It was disappointing that her work schedule did not permit her to continue as a member.
May your memories sustain you at this time.

All of us who were in Nicaragua with her send our heartfelt condolences as we have nothing but good, cheerful memories of such a beautiful and friendly woman.

Bob we are sincerely sorry for your loss. Liz was an amazing friend and neighbor who would always welcome the kids into her pool on a hot day with hours of fun playing and swimming. Her love for Lassie and all her pets was what made her a special caring woman.
We are thinking of you and your family during this time of loss.
