Peacefully at the Juravinski cancer centre, Hamilton with her family by her side on Friday January 22, 2016 at the age of 63 years. Beloved wife of 25 wonderful and joyful years to Fraser Burke. Loving mother of Naomi & Jesse, Peggy & Rob Cookson, and Candace & Jason Schweyer. Dear grandma of Elyssa, Ainsley, Evan, and Will Schweyer, Clark, Hope, Faith, and Patience Cookson. Daughter of the late Joe and Hazel Sherk. Sister of Joe (Deceased) & Fern Sherk, and the late Sharon Sherk. Aunt of the late Tim Sherk. Linda will also be dearly missed by best friends Ernie and Vicky Touesnard and by her clientele from Parkview Meadows and the Riviera Retirement Lodge as their hairdresser. The family will honour her life with visitation at the Hyde & Mott Chapel of R.H.B. Anderson Funeral Homes Ltd., 60 Main Street South, Hagersville on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Selkirk Christian Chapel, 20 Erie Street North, Selkirk on Monday January 25, 2016 at 2 p.m. Interment Sweets Corner’s Church Cemetery. Dear Fraser and Family..I was devastated to hear about dear Linda...who has always been a good friend even though the years pass and we don't see one another very much...I hadn't heard of her illness...We are in Florida for the winter, so I wanted to send our sincere condolences and let you know we will be with you in Spirit...She will be dearly missed, her genuine laughter, her voice, and her very wonderful nature to help people.

Although we have never met we wanted to send our sincere condolences with the loss of Linda. We were clients of hers back when she worked in Caledonia on Berwick Street many years ago. She was such a warm, caring and friendly person, always had a smile. She gave ouir kids their first haircuts. Her kindness was what I remember so well about her.
