We are so sorry to hear of Ben's passing. My mom Edna Shaw (Hurst) was a first cousin to Ben and his siblings. She always had fond memories of visiting family in Hagersville. Mom passed away Feb. 14, 2015 and my dad Tom Shaw passed away April 9, 2015. May all your good memories of Ben stay with you. Our thoughts are with you. Kim and Allan Hughson and family (St Thomas)

I would like to thank everyone, on behalf of my family, for your very kind and meaningful words. The following poem by Chief Dan George captures Dad so well, and I wish to share it with you: "May the stars carry your sadness away, May the flowers fill your heart with beauty, May hope forever wipe away your tears, And, above all, may your silence make you strong". We will always remember the special gift that Dad gave us in his gentle presence and unfailing love. We love you forever, Dad.
