I was blessed to get to know Leona only recently, but she was a beautiful woman of faith.

Rachel and Family,

We are so sorry to hear about the passing of your grandma. We know how much she meant to all of you. I am happy to have had the pleasure of meeting her at your shower/wedding. Please let us know if you need anything. Love you guys. Chase, Myah and Reese send big squishy hugs and kisses Aunt Rachel. xoxo

Leona and her husband Bob were great friends and travelling companions of my mother Helen Monture and late father Russ Moses, quite aside from being extended family too. I know they had so many good times together. My wife Denise and I were good friends too, and Leona always made such a fuss over our own daughter Quinn Kateri whenever we were down to visit. And Leona was such a resource for all her knowledge of family history and Six Nations history. She will be dearly missed. Condolences from our mother Helen Monture Moses, my brother Jim Moses and wife Pat, and myself John, Denise and Quinn Moses here in Ottawa.

I was blessed with the opportunity of meeting Leona during a brief visit to the Diocese of Huron this year, and will never forget her wise words, her warmth and her beeming smile. I thank God for allowing me to spend even just a short time with her and i am sure the heavens are blessed wih her presence now.

Condolences from all of us here in the Diocese of the Amazon.
