BUWALDA:  Lawrence Anthony

Surrounded by his loved ones and with overwhelming sadness we announce that Lawrence Anthony Buwalda lost his battle with cancer on March 31, 2019.  Lawrence was born in Hamilton on November 30, 1958 and was predeceased by his parents Louw and Hemmy Buwalda. He leaves behind his heartbroken three sons Nathan (Tanya), Zachary (Lauren) and Jacob (Samantha) and his very special love Jen Rubio (Ruby and Toby).  Loved brother and uncle of Marianne Buwalda (Shannon), Joyce and Bob Needham (Corey (Crystal), Curtis, Christopher and Cara), Dorothy and Steve Deshane (Patrick and Elyn, Nicholas and Becca, Cole (Nadine) and Stephanie) and Trish Buwalda and Jim Harding. A very special thanks to Jakki Accadia, Dr. Yar and the dedicated staff at the West Haldimand General Hospital who made Lawrence’s last days as comfortable as possible.  Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Lawrence’s  Life will be held at the Courtyard Marriott, 1224 Upper James Street, Hamilton @3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2019.  In lieu of flowers,  donations to the West Haldimand General Hospital in Hagersville would be greatly appreciated.  www.rhbanderson.com

Like all those who knew him, it saddens me to learn of Lawrence's passing. Allow me to offer my condolences, prayers and support to family, friends and all who loved him in life.

I worked with Lawrence for many years and will remember fondly his sharp clever wit, keen sense of humour and perceptive intelligence. It was a privilege to have known Lawrence. He will be missed.

Godspeed in your journey,

Douglas Rich
