April 4, 1940 - November 6, 2021


Suddenly passed away from a broken heart at the age of 81. Reunited with the love of his life Markie (March 24, 2021). Much loved Dad to Jeri (Duane, deceased), Johnny (Trish) and Carly (Vince). Best Papa in the world to Chelsea (Brooke), Jaxon and Evie. Predeceased by daughter Brandi, parents John and Marie and siblings Carmen, David, Art and Terri. Loving great-grandpa to Truman Tatum, Koen and Kylen. John was a proud retired member of Ironworkers Local 736. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends and known as the best brine pickle maker. Grandfather of Randy, Brandon, Tommy, Lily, Emily, Sonny and Jo. Resting at his home 2 Oak Street, Ohsweken after 6pm on Monday. Funeral service and burial will be held at Sour Springs Longhouse on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 11am.  Arrangements by Styres Funeral Home, Ohsweken.

I am happy to say I was fortunate to have met John, by selling him several vehicles. He welcomed me to his home and made me feel welcomed. Such a kind and gentle soul. I enjoyed our conversations and will miss his visits. May he rest in peace and his family keep his memory close to their heart
