Jean Alice Awde (nee: Rowntree)
It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Jean on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at the age of 82 years. Beloved wife of the late Bill. Loving Mom of Janie and Dwayne Miles, and Dave Awde. Caring Grandma of Cameron, Nicholas, and Joseph. Jean was a proud and positive presence in all our lives. She cherished country living and spending time with those she loved. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The family will honour her life with visitation at the Hyde & Mott Chapel, R.H.B. Anderson Funeral Homes Ltd. in Hagersville on Tuesday 6-9pm. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 6 at 2:00 p.m. Interment Hagersville Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. www.rhbanderson.com

Very sorry to hear about the passing of Jean. I have very fond memories of her when we spent a lot of time on the farm with Justin and Matt.

Our condolences to Jean's family. My first memories of Jean were as one of the "Moms" to the band members at Hagersville Secondary School Band on our trip to Montreal and Quebec City (1983) Lots of fun! Then in more recent years we reconnected with Bill and Jean through our cousin Charlies and dear friend Emma Lou....even more laughter and wonderful times together sharing meals and stories. Trusting that precious memories will give you strength during these difficult days.
