Peacefully into Gods’ hands surrounded by the love of his family at Norview Lodge, Simcoe on January 9, 2015 at the age of 90. He has joined his beloved wife, best friend and fishing partner the late Audrey (Dougherty) Teal. Well loved Father of Gary and Shirley Teal of Springvale and David and Lori Ingrassia of Orillia. Exceptional Grandfather of Dana and Jordan Gooderham, Christopher and Miranda Teal and Great-Grandfather of Maddison, Charissa, Noelle, Ashton, and Kiana. Brother of Mary Crane. Predeceased by Parents, John and Christina (Winger) Teal; Sisters and Brothers, Verna Hux, Orland Teal, Bertha Helka, Clarence Teal, Bruce Teal, Martha Long, Esther Tucker-Hansel; Sisters-in-law and Brothers-in-law, Norris Nopper, Nelson Nopper, Geraldine Schweyer, Ena Price, and Jean Elmore. Herbert will be sadly missed and remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Herb and Audrey were co-partners of Teal’s Pure Pork Sausage for 62 years. The family will honour his life with visitation at the Hyde & Mott Chapel of R.H.B. Anderson Funeral Homes Ltd, 60 Main Street, South, Hagersville on Sunday January 11, 2015 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Celebration of Herbert’s Life will be held at The Dwelling Place (Springvale Brethren in Christ Church) on Monday January 12, 2015 at 11:00am. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Springvale. In lieu of flowers donations in the name of Herbert can be made to The Dwelling Place (Springvale BIC Church) or the Charity of your choice. The family wishes to express a heartfelt appreciation for the compassion, excellent care and support from Pastor Al Thompson and the Doctor and staff at Norview Lodge in Simcoe.

We always enjoyed Herb at the Selkirk Seniors he was always a character in a nice way ,will certainly be missed by all.I am President of the Seniors in Selirk so will have a minute silence in his memory on Monday.I have know Herbie for years and when I worked at Lichtys grocery store he would like to tease me and give me a hard time,but I was use to it,My deepest sympathy to all.

You were fortunate to have Herb in your life for so many years.

Sorry to hear the news of Herbie's passing . We have so many memories of Audrey and Herb . What a treasure they were .Always there if someone was in need or just for many happy laughs .Sorry we can't be with you but we will be thinking of all the family .
