Harry R. Hill (Doon)
October 31, 1954 – January 1, 2026

Harry R. Hill (Doon) passed away at his home on January 1, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on October 31, 1954, Doon lived a life marked by loyalty, grit, and a deep love for family, sports, and his dogs.
In his younger years, Doon was an avid athlete, always happiest when he was moving, competing, or cheering someone on. As the years passed, that competitive spirit never faded — it simply shifted to the sidelines, where he became a super fan and was meticulous with the stats. Game days mattered. Opinions were strong. Loyalty ran deep. That was Doon.
Doon spent over 20 years working at Newalta Industries before retiring, a testament to his steady work ethic and commitment. He believed in showing up, putting in the time, and taking pride in the work you did — old-school values he carried quietly but firmly.
Above all else, Doon loved his family. He was the proud father of Marty (late), Shari, Mike, Mandy, and Willow, and a grandfather to 25 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. His family tree was large, lively, and full — and he took pride in every branch of it.
Doon shared a special bond with his dogs, who were true companions in his life. He is lovingly remembered by his dog Heidi and reunited in passing with his beloved Dixie, who held a permanent place in his heart.
He is survived by his siblings Audrey, Diane, Curtis, Deneen, Maria, Laura, Marilyn, and Alec, and was predeceased by his brother Martyn. He was also predeceased by his beloved wife Barbara, and his parents, Virginia Hill and Harry Hill Sr.
Doon was not a flashy man, but he was a constant one — steady, opinionated, loyal, and real. He will be remembered for his love of sports, his devotion to his dogs, his dedication to his family, and the unmistakable presence he carried into every room.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Resting at his home 2656 Fifth Line, Six Nations after 2 pm. Saturday where Funeral Service will be held Sunday January 4, 2026 at 12 noon with cremation to follow.
