Garth will certainly be missed! I know he spent a fair bit of time over at our house when I was quite little. He always lit up the room when he was in it with his outgoing personality and upbeat attitude. Even when I called him last summer I knew he wasn't really well but you'd never know it while talking to him on the phone. I can still remember some of the stories that Barrie and Garth told me after my dad passed away while in our dining room after the funeral. They were very comforting and funny but I still think Garth was exaggerating when he told me it took two people to baby sit me. I know these times are tough but in time you will gather perspective and remember all the great times you had together. All the best to you and your family!....... Jerry

I certainly have many fond memories of the times my late parents Joyce and Keith would take Jerry, Kevin and I to visit Uncle Garth and his welcoming family. I particularly remember Garth sharing the same broad smile, mannerisms and gentle nature of my dad. My condolences to my Aunt Mattie and cousins Marilyn and Ron and their families...... Scott

We will miss you Uncle Garth. I remember the many stories that you and my dad used to tell - they made us laugh and be glad about life. Thank you. Our prayers for peace are with you Aunt Mattie and the whole family.

Mattie, Ron, Marilyn and family: We are so sorry about Garth. We will miss him. As a big brother he was always so good to his younger siblings. When I was in HS he drove me to school in the morning, and home when he got off work at the Royal Dairy, saving me many a cold or rainy bike ride to the school. We "younger kids" used to love to ride in the rumble seat of his Ford coupe, and get rides in his new car with the big "fins" I always admired and envied his musical ability and his dexterity with carving and woodwork. I will miss him very much as a "big brother", as I'm sure you will miss him as a good husband, father, and "grandpa". I hope eventually the happy memories will take over from the present sorrow.
Love, Phyllis and Frank

You will be missed Uncle Garth. There are people that you will always remember and it seemed like Uncle Garth and all my uncles had that quiet, easy going, funny, great to be around type personality. Definately someone who will be missed.
