Hi Wood's Family,I started in the Stelco Primary Maintenance Department at the Blast Furnace in 1979 as a Millwright. Next door to the Blast Furnace was the Central Power Station which was Fred's domain. During the commissioning of the operating C.P.S. I was assigned to the C.P.S. and that was where I met Mr. Wood. Fred was in charge of the operation of the C.P.S on the same shift. He, Fred, and I became good friends for the next twenty plus years until retirement.
He and I had some good laughs together, usually after some issue on the Blast Furnace or the C.P.S.
I Think he'll be sorely missed by his family and close friends.
