Peacefully at Anson Place, Hagersville on Wednesday September 20, 2017 in her 89th year. Wife of the late Richard Awde (1971). Loving mother of Marie, Brian & Joyce, Ralph & Sherry, Paul & Mary Ann, and Carol. Dear grandmother of Jeremy & Tanya, Cory & Jonelle, Richard & Vicky, Alayna & Chris, David & Kristy, and Sarah. Dear great grandmother of Sullivan, Daniel, Cole, Joseph, Carter, Conner, Thomas, and Morgan. Daughter of the late Ed & Anna James. Sister of Lorne (deceased) & Madelene James, the late Mary & Russell Hewson, Laura & the late Ross Hamilton, Ruth & Peter Myke, Alma (deceased) & John Spisak, the late Lois & Ron Speller, and Audrey & the late Bill Nixon. Sister-in-law of the late Edna & Gordon Banfield, Ruby & the late Earl Awde, and Betty & the late Abe Taylor. Also survived by numerous nieces & nephews. Eva retired from the Hald-Nor Credit Union as a manager, she was a member of the Orange Lodge, member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church and was an active knitter for the West Haldimand Hospital Auxiliary and St. Joseph’s Hospital Neo Natal Unit. The family will honour her life with visitation at the Hyde & Mott Chapel, R.H.B. Anderson Funeral Homes Ltd., 60 Main Street South, Hagersville on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where funeral service will be held on Saturday September 23, 2017 at 11 a.m. Interment Hagersville Cemetery.
