It is with great sadness we learn of Elvin's passing. He was a fine gentleman, always with a smile on his face. He enjoyed the many road trips to Florida and was quick to tell a story or two.

He was a happy guy, we always giggled at the toot toot of the horn when he passed by. Rest easy Elvin.

I send my sincere condolences in this time of grief. The Bible gives a comforting hope that your loved one will soon live again on a beautiful paradise earth when death will be no more in John 5:28, 29, and Revelation 21:4.

Flora and I want to pass along our sincere condolences to the Nixon family on Alvin‘s passing. He certainly lived a full and wonderful life as a husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and well as a truck driver for International Cartage and many years associated with the Walpole Antique Farm Machinery organization. He always had a smile on his face and a story to tell. As with anyone who has lived for almost a century, it will be his life experiences throughout those years which will be missed the most.

Would have loved to known the man. But I was just a savage temporary interloper in that family, related only by adoption decree and I stopped being a part of his family decades ago because I was just a little criminal as a child because I let too many bad “friends” and “brother” help me choose the wrong choices. But. It’s hard to be stable when your government committed a literal genocide on you though. We’ll refrain from listing the horrors I lived through and will never forget…
Rest in peace to the man I hardly knew as a grandpa after those first 5 -10 years. Once Garry died, so too did my relationship with that family. My fault for being a horrible child. To be perfectly honest. I’m surprised my name was even included in this obit considering he was only my grandpa as long as my adopted dad was alive
