Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hamilton on Tuesday July 8, 2014 at the age of 76 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Beverley. Loving father of Douglas (Aileen), Derek, Desiree (Bill), and Carey. Dear papa of Eric, Christine, Aaron, Meghan and Hailey. Brother of Millie, Garnet, and the late William (Don), and Alice. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Doug was a longtime employee of Procter & Gamble, Hamilton. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Hyde & Mott Chapel of R.H.B. Anderson Funeral Homes Ltd.., 60 Main St. S., Hagersville on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 11 a.m. (Visitation 1 hour prior to service). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hamilton/Burlington S.P.C.A. www.rhbanderson.com

I enjoyed conversations with Doug. Always thoughtful and interesting.
He would always share meaningful experiences with me and I consider him a lifelong friend with a child's heart.
I truly hope to meet again in Heaven to share more good times!
