Uncle Doug you will be missed and I'll hold the memories of you forever in my heart. The things you taught me about surviving life will not be forgotten. All the simple knowledge of gardening, like how to plant strawberries and tend them, how to identify trees in my sugar bush when I didn't have a clue, being my inspiration to start my beekeeping journey, all of these things helped me appreciate the natural world and how to survive in it. The open door policy you had for everyone, always able to see the good in people and make them feel valued and knowing that there would always be a bed , something to eat and welcoming conversation was a gift you gave to all. I will miss you , but always remember the crazy Newfie, world best uncle. All my love and see you again someday.
