Doris Whitedeer Spittal was a great teacher of the Good Medicine Society. Her entire life was devoted to helping people bring out the best in themselves. She was very knowledgeable in healing herbs, generously sharing that knowledge with the women in her community. Now, 8 years after her passing, what she had prophesied to me on December 18, 2022 came true. We are in the time of great global strife, growth and choice that the Hopi talked about. I here share an electronic copy of my 2003 thesis on First Nations Education from Indigenous perspectives. Whitedeer contributed some of the greatest teachings in that work of which 50 pages were scripted verbatim from interviewing her. She walked in Beauty and guides us to walk the Good Red Road of Life to the Great Blue Road of Spirit, even now, long after passing through the Veil. It is available electronically as a gift of Spirit from the National Archives in Ottawa. After passing Whitedeer left behind wonderful feelings in many people's hearts, and she also left these teachings as well as part of her Legacy: first nations teachings and “character education” https://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca › dsk4 › etdPDF Mitakuyé oyásin. Chi meegwetch Whitedeer. We love you forever. I have many photos of Whitedeer which I would love to be able to pass them on someday to her granddaughter.
