It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Daphne Mable Andrea Parrington, who passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026.
Daphne was a loving mother to, Tyler (predeceased), and to Sean (Kaylah) and Andrea. She was the best friend and beloved wife of Larry Parrington, her husband and lifelong companion.
She was a cherished grandmother, lovingly known as Nan, to Justice, Krystopher, Gillan, Hayden, Marlon, Thomas, Billie, and Ryot, and a proud great-grandmother to Tate and Cooper.
Daphne was the daughter of the late Daniel “Gandi” and Elaine (Jonathan) McNaughton. She was a beloved sister to Roselyn (Marty), Jackie (Shane), Muriel (Ronnie), Lisa (Joe), Terry (Paula), Jodi (Late Reg), Colleen, and the late Philip. Daughter in law of the late Lavern & Carol Parrington. She was also a beloved sister-in-law to Kathy, Andy (Wilma) and a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Daphne had a beautiful way of making people feel loved, welcomed, and special. She had a warmth about her that made people feel like they mattered. Her love reached far beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of so many people throughout the years.
She will be remembered for her loving heart, kindness, laughter, and the special way she made others feel cared for. Her greatest legacy will live on through her family, the stories they share, and the countless memories she created with those she loved.
In honour of Daphne’s wishes, there will be no viewing or funeral service.
Her children and husband will be gathering privately with family and friends at Styres Funeral Home, 1798 Fourth Line, Ohsweken on Monday, September 28, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. to share stories, memories, laughter, and love for their beloved Daphne. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided as loved ones come together to remember and celebrate the beautiful person she was.
As requested by Daphne, a Celebration of Life will be held one year from her passing. Further details will be shared with family and friends when the time comes.
Though she may no longer be with us in person, the love Daphne gave will remain—in every story told, every laugh remembered, every family gathering, and in the hearts of everyone who was blessed to know her.
As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to The Cancer Society or The Diabetic Association.
