Charlotte Vern Henry, 75 years old, of Moosonee, ON, passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 8, 2026. Born on June 3, 1951 in Ohsweken, ON. She was a nurse and a respected member of the Moosonee Community.
Charlotte spent 45 years as a nurse at the Moosonee Clinic & Weeneebayko General Hospital.
Outside of work she loved spending time with family and cherished being a grandmother. She was known for her passion to travel and shop. She was also an avid member of the Moose Factory and Moosonee Lions Club and enjoyed serving the communities. In her teen years and twenties Charlotte was an athlete who enjoyed playing baseball and volleyball. She was also a member of the Sky Dance troop which took her to perform in Germany. She enjoyed skidooing, watching movies, crafting, knitting and playing online games. She was also a great cake decorator. Charlotte loved all her family, friends, fellow lions club members and colleagues deeply. She always brought joy and laughter to those around her.
Charlotte is predeceased by her loving husband William Morrison Sr (Big Bill), mother Faye Henry (William’s), father Wilbert Henry Sr,; brothers Frank Henry, Virgil Henry and Wilbert Henry Jr.; Granddaughter Brittany and great grandson; Uncles Bernard Williams and Claudie Sault.
Charlotte is survived by her 3 sons Donald Henry (Carmen Cheechoo), Chris Henry, William Henry Jr (Evelyn Henry); Grandchildren Malachi Henry (daughter Maggie Henry), Dalton Henry-Sutherland (girlfriend Chantal Rheault) son Azairah, daughters Micaela, Asia and Averie, William Henry-Sutherland Jr, Keirsten Henry-Sutherland and Arielle Henry-Sutherland. She also has a great grand daughter Lilly, grandson (great grandson) & step grandchildren Jonah Morrison and Bella Cheechoo; Sisters Mary Henry, Barbara Henry, Allison Henry and Marlene Henry (Dave); brothers Raymond (Butch) Henry, Bruno Henry and Yohan Henry. She has many nieces & Nephews, her high school best friend to this day Barbara Kowalchuck (Little Barb).
A family and friends viewing will take place at Tallman Funeral Homes Limited, Vineland, ON on Monday July 13, 2026 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm.
She will be resting at Styres Funeral Home on Tuesday July 14, 2026 from 3:00 - 8:00pm.
The funeral service will take place at Lower Cayuga Longhouse on Wednesday July 15, 2026 at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that you make a monetary donation to any Kidney foundation on her behalf.
