Charlie was a true Gentleman and one of the finest genuine Christians. He helped me re-estabish myself as pastor in the church where I pastored when I was much younger. His theology was top tier and we enjoyed talking of the good things of the Lord. I will miss him and look forward to the day ahead when I see him again. The world is poorer for his departure. I am richer for having known him. God is with you Leone and will give you comfort as you grieve your wonderful husbands passing. My prayers attend your family as well.

I have wonderful memories of sharing in ministry with Charlie. I also remember being at Cheapside for revival and getting up early one morning to go sucker fishing. We were very successful and had fish for breakfast - I’d never eaten fish for breakfast before! May the Lord keep and strengthen you in the days ahead. Our prayers will continue for each of you.

I am so sorry to hear of Charlie's passing. I have only good memories of the time we shared on the pastoral team of Canadian Conference, particularly those occasions when Harvey Sider and I would visit for missions presentations. My condolences to Leone and the family.

We met Charlie and wife Leone a few days after my parents moved to Port Rowan on August 20 of 2020. Leone made us her famous rubard cream pie to welcome us to the neighborhood, and it was an instant friendship with the Byers. They're both such peaceful loving people, and felt we've known them a long time. My parents felt blessed to have such wonderful neighbors, and made them feel at ease in their new surroundings. Charlie was a young 74 year old with a zest for life, if was very inspiring to see him venture off with his soul mate Leone on their motor bike. I will always remember the photo I took of them on it, aswell as the chats i had with him and Leone on their front porch; and when he and Leone joined us for drinks on my parents back porch. Charlie you are a great loss to the village of Long Point and the world at large. I am a better to have met you, and it was truly mine and my parents honor to known for too short a time. You define the word "gentleman" rest in peace our dear friend and brother Charlie. Gone, but never forgotten. Our love and condolences go out to our beautiful friend Leone and family.
May God bring you all comfort that he's in a better place. Love always the Cedeños at 8 Mallard Walk.

Charlie gone but will not be forgotten. Such a sweet and spirited loving soul. You showed this with your warmth and kindness. You showed how adventurous you were when you headed off to your travels with your lovely friendly Leone. Such a beautiful thing to see. Thank you for letting us get to know you, even if it was for such a short time. Thank you for welcoming myself and especially my brother and parents to Port Rowan. I am sure God opened his arms and welcomed you with open arms. Good bye for now Charlie. God has you now in paradise.

Condolences to you Leone and the family.

I have known Charlie and Leone since I was a child. Both have always been warm and welcoming. My husband and I had the pleasure of spending the night with them while they were serving in northern Ontario. An excellent example of a servant of Christ. I believe he heard "Well done, thou good and faithful servant!" He will be missed here, but has been welcomed above. May God bless Leone and the rest of the family.

May God bless you today, Leone, and all of the Byer family. Just 2 months ago Charlie and Eldon were so kind to drive up to Huntsville for my Dad's funeral, so you are especially in our thoughts and prayers today. Charlie will always be remembered as a humble faithful servant, and for us personally we will always remember his friendliness on every meeting. May God bring you each peace and comfort as you celebrate a life well lived for Him.
