We were so sorry to hear about Catherine.

Under my circumstances, I didn't get to know her but I understand I missed meeting a lovely lady.

Our Aunt Cathy will be greatly missed. We are lucky to have so many great memories growing up with her as our Aunt. Perfectly whipped short bread cookies, trips to the ice-cream store, always smiling, always offering love and support with her big hugs and kind words. She was a very special lady who put everyone else before herself. The world was a better place with her in it.
Uncle Barry, Janice, Chris, Jaime, Jake, Ron, Tammy, Cameron and Cody - may the love of your family comfort you in the days ahead and we are here for you.
Love Jennifer, Scott, Ethan, Luke and Sarah

As a friend of Ruth's, I had the pleasure of meeting Cathy this past summer. Despite the circumstances of her illness, you sensed her graciousness and her warmth. Her smile lit the room. Please know that Cathy, her family and her friends are in my prayers. Sincere condolences.

We were a young family returning to Canada in the 90's with 3 young children when we met the Fairburns at King St. Baptist. I remember her tending the flower garden at church and her conversations then and on other occasions were so encouraging and kind. She was a very special woman of God. A ray of kindness and shine to those who met her. Condolences to Barry and the family and praying for you. -- Alice & Dan Cover
