Elaine and Family: Please accept our sincerest condolences. To say we are in shock is an understatement. Not only did I consider Blair a work-mate but also a friend. I will miss "Hoot and Holler" (our work nickname for him) and this is way too soon. Unfortunately we spend our winters in Az and we will miss the funeral but please know that our thoughts and prayers will be will you and the family.

It is with great sorrow that we are writing this for someone that has passed so early. I remember cousin Blair as a great participant in hockey and baseball and as a roommate in Toronto. He was always so energetic and fun to be with. He will certainly be missed. It is quite shocking after seeing him in Ontario this past summer. Our deepest condolences go out to Elaine and children, Uncle Bob and Aunt Shirley, Paul, Steve, and Emily and their families. May your memories sustain you at this difficult time. Rick and Joy

Oh Elaine, My heart aches for you. Please feel my big tight hug that surrounds you .
What can I say about Blair, he sure was talented and added much to our choir not only with his voice but his ability to play musical instruments as well. Its funny we had a concert at Albright and we were laughing at the time, not only do we miss Blair but we miss you as well as the purse holder and watcher of all. Your commitment to Blair as both of you travelled the distances not only for concerts but the practices as well is something that is above and beyond.. I thank you for that. Our choir was blessed by the presence of both of you . Last nights concert at Grace was dedicated to Blair. I found this verse and I thought it was appropriate. God Bless. xoxox

I am standing on the sea shore. A Ship sails and spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the ocean.

She is an object of beauty and I stand watching her till at last she fades on the horizon, and someone at my side says, "She is gone." Gone where? Gone from my sight, that is all.

She is just as large in the masts, hull and spars as she was when I saw her, and just as able to bear her load of living freight to its destination. The diminished size and total loss of sight is in me, not in her.

And just at the moment when someone at my side says, "She is gone," there are others who are watching her coming, and other voices take up a glad shout, "There she comes," and that is dying.

Elaine and family... So sad to hear of Blair's sudden passing. We attended public school together way back when! Then having taught Chantelle at Rainham was such a joy! My heart hurts thinking of your sudden loss-- far too soon. Keeping you all in my prayers and asking for strength in the days ahead, and precious comfort for your aching hearts.

My condolences to the family. Blair was one of the most knowledgeable men of the steelmaking process I had ever had the privilege of working with. He always had the time to answer our queries in such a way that you really felt like you were an important part of the process. Always a great guy to just sit down and have a few laughs with. Thanks for all the chats Scooter!

Elaine and members of the Otterman and Booker families our deepest condolences on the loss of Blair. While our paths haven't crossed for a good number of years I will remember Blair as our hockey team Captain who led us to a rural school championship and provincial bantam championship in the mid 60's. Those memories will keep his spirit with us forever.

Thank you everyone for the loving and kind words . They are very comforting and helpful at this time. Blair touched a lot of people. And all of us are hurting. Find comfort In the Lord Jesus Christ as Blair had all his life on earth and is now singing in the Angel's choir in Heaven. Turn to Christ for comfort
