As a fellow member of the Ontario Guild of Town Criers, it was my honour to have met Derek and Beryl at many crier events. Beryl was such an outstanding person as she supported Derek, as his escort, at so many Town Crier competitions. We were also delighted to have witnessed Beryl perform in great, humorous skits at these events, bringing smiles to all in attendance. Dame Beryl was a very special persons and will be missed!
