Bernadette Edmund, born on April 24, 1957. Died peacefully at home on January 12, 2023. Proud member of the Cheslatta Carrier Nation. Beloved soul mate of Tou Mosh for 42 years.
Bernadette graduated from McMaster University. She was a social worker who was highly interested in native rights. She loved children and was mother to numerous cats. She and Tou loved working and dreaming together developing their farm in Irondale.
Bernadette is predeceased by her mother Eenu Edmund, her father Pat Edmund and her siblings. She is also predeceased by her grandfather, Chief Louie Edmund, the last hereditary chief of the Cheslatta Carrier Nation.
Bernadette is survived by her brothers-in-law James Montgomery (Anna), John Montgomery (Adèle), nephews Stryder Montgomery and Jesiah Montgomery, nieces Rachel Montgomery and Beth Hawkins (Justin) and great niece Rebekah.
Cremation has taken place. A service to celebrate her life will be held at Hyde & Mott Chapel, 60 Main St. S., Hagersville on Saturday April 1, 2023 at 1pm.
