It is with great sadness that the family of Ashton Alan VanEvery announces his passing on June 1, 2016 at the age of 16 years. Greatly missed by his parents Kari Ann VanEvery and Logan Kinslow and his siblings Steven (Brooke), Faron, Creedon and Sheridan. Loved deeply by Caitlyn Gamble, his grandparents Wilma Staats and Eldon (Snip) Hill, Faron Staats and Karen and Wall Kinslow, niece Aislynn and nephew Bentley and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his grandfather Steven VanEvery. Ashton will be resting at his grandmother Wilma's home at 1264 Third Line, Six Nations after 2 p.m. Saturday. Prayer service will be held 7 p.m. Saturday. Funeral services to be held on Sunday June 5 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. www.rhbanderson.com

So sorry for your loss. May the creator guide you through this difficult time. I can't ever remember a time that I didn't see a smile on ashton face or hear his polite manners at school. Ashton was am awesome guy and will be deeply missed. May you find the strength you need to carry on. Keep his memories close.

This is so sadening to hear. There was no reason to be shot and killed. You were so young and a very nice person ashton. Always had a smile on your face even through the rough times buddy. In the last five years I got to know you through dating your cousin Kaymon. You have always been amazing and wonderful man. You always knew how to make everyone smile and laugh. Everyone is going to miss you and I'm going to miss looking for you at bread and cheese and the fairs. Family get together will never be the same. Love you Ashton. You were taking to soon.

I remember the first time we ever talked, it hurts to see that you aren't here anymore Ashton.You meant so much to so many people, your smile could always lighten up a room even on the worst days. It won't be the same anymore when you stopped at the door before class at Auto smiled and waved at all of us. Fly high,keep your head up. They always say the youngest and happiest go first. My son Michael was in a few classes of Ashton's in grade 9 , he remembers him well, saying he was a nice boy.
