Anna Marie Hill
March 13, 1959 - June 1, 2021

Anna M. Hill passed away on Tuesday June 1, 2021. She was 62 years old. Daughter to Bette-Lou Joseph & John Talbert Hill (both deceased).  Anna was loved by many people throughout her life and is survived by many. Sister of Dr. Karen Hill, brothers; Isaac & John Hill, children; Valerie, Bette, and William. Grandchildren; David, Summer, Miaya, Wesley, Shawinook, Serenity, and Samson. Great Grandchildren; Jayden, Alora, and Thorin. She also had many nieces and nephews, as well as Dale - her special person.  Anna loved people - all people. There are many stories that begin with “remember that time with Anna?" or, "You’re not going to believe what happened!”.  Being her family or friend was a definite adventure. She loved old rock & roll tunes and if she sent you a song, she meant it. Anna had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her dog Lizuee. She always wanted to set up a shelter for dogs on the reserve.  Anna was no stranger to addiction & mental health, and she very much wanted to help others who had similar experiences as her. She was funny, compassionate, a math whiz, and truly lived life to the best of her abilities in spite of her struggles. Be kind to each other - you never know what each person faces. Hug them and tell them you care for them one more time.

Resting at Styres Funeral Home, 1798 4th Line, Ohsweken on Saturday June 5th from 6-8pm. Please contact the funeral home at 519-445-2262 to schedule your visitation time. Please honour her life by donating to the following agencies: Native Women’s Shelter of Hamilton, the Six Nations Animal Control Agency, or any Addictions & Mental Health services.

Love
Devotion
Feeling
Emotion
Don't be afraid to be weak
Don't be too proud to be strong
Just look into your heart my friend
That will be the return to yourself
The return to innocence
The return to innocence
And if you want, then start to laugh
If you must, then start to cry
Be yourself don't hide
Just believe in destiny
Don't care what people say
Just follow your own way
Don't give up and use the chance
To return to innocence.
That's not the beginning of the end
That's the return to yourself
The return to innocence
That's return to innocence.

I remember times when we helped each other, and her laugh. Times could be rough as sandpaper and she'd find a reason to laugh. R I P Anna
