Kriter:  Albert Edward

After a long and full life, the family are sad to announce the passing of Albert in his 104th year on Sunday August 20, 2017 at Norview Lodge in Simcoe, ON.  Albert was predeceased by his parents, Edward & Ada Kriter, his beloved wife, Evelyn (Niece) (2000), and his son-in-law, Roger Moerschfelder (2008).  He is survived by his son Robert (Joan), daughters, Marie Moerschfelder, and Marilyn Winger (Harold); grandchildren, Kim (Jim), Kathy (Steve), Bradley, Sandra (Mark), Susan, Lisa (Steve), and Lianne (Andy); great grandchildren, Jamie (John), Kelsey, Mackenzie, Adrienne (Adam), Christopher, Michaela, Laura (Drew), Daniel, Lauren, Chase, Hayden, and Hannah; and great-great grandchildren, Ella, Carter, and Emma.  Albert farmed for many years in Dunn Township.  He was well-known in his youth for his fiddle playing at local square dances and enjoyed country music with family and friends.  He loved the North, and spent many years hunting in the Maynooth area and after retiring from farming, he especially enjoyed fishing the northern lakes.  He also enjoyed  snowmobiling up North, but in his late eighties decided to start ATV’ing.  He lead family and friends on many trips until the age of 96.  His mind was always sharp and up to date on what was happening in the world and in his day to day life.  He enjoyed playing cards and being in the company of people of all ages.  Many times people would ask what the secret to a long life was and his humourous reply would be: “Just keep breathing”.  The family will celebrate Albert’s life with a visitation at Hyde & Mott Chapel, R.H.B. Anderson Funeral Homes Ltd., 60 Main St. S., Hagersville 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Wednesday, August 23, 2017.  Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 1 pm.  Interment South Cayuga United Church Cemetery.  If desired, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.  www.rhbanderson.com
