William  “John” Gordon Hoover

Passed away at the West Haldimand General Hospital on Thursday, August 29, 2024 as a result of an accidental fall, John Hoover in his 91st year.  Beloved husband of 72 years to Leola (Weaver) Hoover.  Loving father and best dad of John Jr. (Leslie), Beverly, Gary (Bruna), Patricia, Jeanette (Blair), and Janice (Tracy “Chuck”).  Dear grandpa of Kathleen, Jenny, Andrew, Veronica, Kevin, Brianna, Michael, Geoffrey, Krista, Marchella, Stacie, Johnathan, Leslie, Rachel, Jason, Jesse, Jacob, Joshua, Victoria, Angela, Charles, Dylan, Aaron, Tiffany, 48  great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.  Brother of the late James & Phyllis, Muriel & the late Glenn, the late Austin & Leta, Marguerite & the late Glenn, Mary Kay & the late Bruce, Stanford & Marlene, the late Mildred, Marleen & the late Dan, and Christian & Barbara  Ann.  Brother-in-law of the late Betty & Martin, and Barbara Ann & Christian.  Also survived by many nieces & nephews.

The family will honour his life with visitation at Hyde & Mott Chapel of R.H.B. Anderson Funeral Homes Ltd., 60 Main St. S., Hagersville on Tuesday from 5-8 pm.  Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday September 4, 2024 at 11 am. Interment Cheapside United Cemetery.  As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to Toronto Sick Kids or Toronto Ronald McDonald House.

Frank Brodie Brandon and I send you our deepest condolences. So sorry for your loss. Your Dad and Mom always waved when going by the house or if I saw them uptown. He will be missed by all who knew him.
