It's with a heavy heart that we would like to wish our friends Monica and Al and all of her family our sincerest sympathy at this unexpected tragedy. Hoping that the sorrow and pain will eventually subside and leave only happy memories of your time with Vita. Even though I didn't get the chance to spend much time with her, I remember the warm and loving person Vita was and all of the lives she touched. She will be so missed.

To Ivan & Vytautas, Monica (Al), Dalia, Valdemar (Nella), Romualda (Leda), the nieces and nephews:

I never met Vita, although it was in order. I was actually quite looking forward to that meeting, when one day, I received a txt from Monica, that Vita had been stolen away.

It began so beguilingly, those, wee, phone chats between the two sisters, while I sat drinking coffee and chatting with Monica in their living room. I'd sip away and listen to their sisterly banter, the laughter and light-hearted teasing. As time passed, I realized the calls were often daily and sensed an incredible warmth, an actual elation, when Monica realized it was Vita again. I thought how incredibly precious.

As time slipped by and I sat through more such calls, I realized the utter degree of depth and warmth between the two women, the sense of joy, with each anticipated call and the undeniable love and admiration, they held for one another. The more it happened, the more elements of joy I sensed anticipated and warranted. And, with each good-bye, I sensed the heightened joy and bounce in Monica's steps. It was so obvious, she had a sister who knew how to spread joy, in her own, quiet, perky, unique way.

So I'm sorry Vita dear. I would have loved to have met you while here. The Good Book states that those who know and share love know Him. I realize there are definite decisions and attitudes inherent to truly, knowing Him, in the context of the Trinity, of having Him as the perfect Source of all, as Lord, King and Friend. However, it's my earnest hope, that when my time comes to transverse the barrier of death into eternity, that I will see your light shining within the gates of Heaven, so I may meet you there. I believe you held a flame of love for all who passed your way while here, that you knew the quiet joy that is missing in so many and I would love my dear, to meet you there.

Yes, love encourages, it supports those who grieve, striving to uplift. So, in your passing dear, may those you love know, that it's okay to grieve but for awhile, then to arise and love in like manner.
