VERNON DOUGLAS MCCOMBER
Vernon Douglas McComber (Duke) passed away suddenly on December 7, 2022. Beloved son to Margo McComber and the late Fernand Vernon McComber. Brother to Beverly McComber, Pamela McComber, Rebecca McComber, Cynthia Williams (Karl), Theodore McComber, Holly Bomberry (Brock) and Tracey Printup (Emmett). Special nephew to Auntie Jamie Jemison (Johnboy). Stepfather to Nick McComber and Angelica (Jelly) McComber. Affectionately known as Uncle Dukie to many nieces and nephews. Also many great nieces and nephews that he adored.
He was a proud Ironworker for Local 6 for over 30 years. He resided in Kentucky and North Carolina for many years during his ironworking days and returned home to be with his family when his health declined.
He enjoyed travelling in his beloved Ram (Hemi) pick up truck and listening to oldies music.
Will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all.
