Sincere condolences to Sylvia’s (Miss Poodry) family. The Poodry’s were old-time friends with my family and Sylvia taught my oldest son in grade 1 at Emily C General school on Six Nations. She was a wonderful lady- rest easy Sylvia. Luanne (Bradley) Martin

Had the pleasure of knowing Sylvi & Ross through two decades of bowling. She was an amazing advocate of 5-pin and spent many years supporting all levels of the industry. Always kind, gracious and smiling, she was quick with wit and humor and was a very talented, competitive warrior in golf, bowling and card games. Rest well old friend!!!

Richard and I express our sincere sympathy to Ross and to all of Sylvia's family on her passing. We had the pleasure of getting to know Sylvia while bowling at Waterloo Bowling Lanes, and while she was President of the WL5PBA, she convinced me to start volunteering with the Association. That led to many social outings where she shared her life history, interesting teaching career, outstanding accomplishments in bowling and her dedicated volunteer work with 5 Pin Bowling. I am sure the golf courses will also be mourning her loss. Rest in peace, Sylvia! You will be missed by all but have left behind so many happy memories for us all to cherish!

Sincere condolences to Syvia’s family and Ross. She was fun to bowl with let alone to things with. She knew all levels of bowling whether YBC, Inter-City Ladies, etc. May you enjoy your time with other heavenly bowlers, golfers. Etc.

I wish to express my sincere sympathies to Ross and family for the loss of Sylvia. When I was a new president of the Grand River 5 Pin Bowlers' Association, Sylvia was a great mentor whom I greatly appreciated and respected. Rest peacefully, and thank you.

Condolences to Sylvi's family. She will be missed.
I first came to know Sylvi when I, as a teenager, worked for Eddy weeding his cucumber patch. Emmy would invite me in for lunch and laughter. It was there that I learned about Sylvi's great sense of humour. Later, we would meet up as we were doing our education work. She was a wonderful teacher and was liked and respected among the education staff at Six Nations. May the good memories bring you peace in the days and weeks to come.

Dear Doris,
Bob and I send our condolences to you and your family in the loss of your sister.
I remember Sylvia as a fun golfing companion in the "good old days" when you and I would travel to her neck of the woods for a tournament.
May many wonderful memories comfort you in her loss. Fond regards, Rita
