Aunt Shirley was a beautiful lady. She always presented herself with grace and dignity, mixed in with the nicest smile. Karen and myself will miss her on our trips to Ontario from out west. May Aunt Shirley rest in peace along side Uncle Bob.

Our sincere sympathies to the Otterman family. Many memories of your dear Mother while servicing her car for 40 years. Shirley was a valued member of her church and the Fisherville community. Enjoyed listening to her historic knowledge of the area. We have the assurance that your Mother has been reunited with your Dad and brother Blair. Safe in the arms of Jesus.

Dear Members of Shirley’s family. I first met Shirley on the board for Lutheran Braille Workers- Canada back in the mid 90’s. We became friends and the friendship continued to the present. Four of us met as often as we could at a prearranged place for lunch, as we all came from different places such as Hamilton, St Thomas and Mississauga. Those lunches were precious times together and Shirley was such an inspiration. Shirley and I have been playing Lexulous (scrabble) online through Fb for years. She will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with all her family. We look forward to reuniting someday.

Paul, Steve, Emily and families,
Our deepest sympathy for the loss of your Mom. She will be missed. Your Mom was a very kind, caring and loving person (and Aunt). I recall when spending time in Fisherville during the summers as a young boy how she kept us cousins in line, always with a firm yet loving hand. She will be remembered as very special. Thinking of all of you and wishing you peace and comfort.

I want to send our condolences to Paul and Lynn and the Ottoman family. As a Canadian Military buff I enjoyed spending time with Shirley and Bob when planning trips over to Holland as part of their liberation ceremonies. They we’re always wonderful hosts, particularly gracious and always welcoming. Will certainly be missed, but have left a wonderful legacy with their families.
