Ruth Ann Porter

June 20, 1946 - June 28, 2025

 

 

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ruth Ann Porter. Ruth passed away peacefully Saturday June 28th, 2025 surrounded by loved ones at Buffalo General Medical Center at the age of 79 years old. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend and aunt do. Ruth leaves behind her children Alana (Dana), and Kelly. Grandchildren Sydney (Loren), Danielle, and Hudson and great grandchildren Enzo, Aliyah, and Zara and her sisters Sharon and Faith. Ruth is predeceased by her parents Augustus and Luella Porter and her sisters Magdalene, Carole, Donna, and Mary. Ruth will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

 

Resting at Styres Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday July 2nd from 5-8pm with funeral to follow Thursday July 3rd at 1pm. Burial will take place at Ohsweken Pentecostal Cemetery on Chiefswood Road (across from Hill’s Auto Body). Reception at Yogi’s Barn on Chiefswood Road. Rest in peace Ruthie you were one of a kind and will be missed. It was always good to see you when you came out to uncle Dan and Sharon’s place. You are free from pain and raised your children to be good. I will miss you .

Condolences to Sharon and Faithy, and her family she was so proud of...Alana, Kelly and grandchildren and great grandchildren. I am so glad we shared time with her at a cousin's birthday party. She will always be remembered for her gentle nature and kindness.

Ruthie, I am going to miss you. I was looking out for you today to hear that you will not be joining us again, because you had gone to a Better Place, that we also will go to one day. I miss you calling me NormaJean and just sitting and talking with me.
